Deleting your Nodin account
This page explains how to delete your Nodin account and its associated data, in accordance with the GDPR and Google Play requirements.
1. Delete your account from the app
- Open the Nodin app.
- Go to Settings → Account.
- Tap Delete my account, then confirm.
- Your account is deactivated immediately: your email address is released, your ongoing pacts are terminated, and your partners are notified.
2. Delete your account without app access
If you have uninstalled Nodin or can no longer access your account, send us an email:
Subject: Account deletion
Please include the email address used for your Nodin account.
In accordance with the GDPR, we process your request within 30 days at most.
3. Data that is deleted, and timeframes
Nodin works by email only (no password is stored). As soon as you delete your account:
- your account is deactivated and your email address is released immediately;
- all your active pacts and pending invitations are terminated, and your partners are notified;
- your sign-in sessions are revoked immediately;
- any remaining data is automatically and permanently purged from our database, according to the timeframes below.
| Data | Deletion timeframe |
|---|---|
| Account (email, display name, phone, language, country, time zone, quiet hours, notification token) | Deactivated immediately, permanent purge scheduled |
| Emergency contacts | Deleted with the account |
| Pacts (active, terminated, or declined) | Terminated immediately, purged within 90 days |
| Check-in history | Kept for a rolling 90 days, then deleted |

| Sign-in sessions | Revoked immediately |
| Subscription record | Deleted with the account |
| Analytics events (PostHog, hosted in the EU) | Deleted on request |
4. Cancelling your Premium subscription
Deleting your Nodin account does not automatically cancel your subscription: it is managed by the app store where you subscribed. To cancel it:
- Android: Play Store → Menu → Subscriptions → Nodin → Cancel.
- iOS: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → Nodin → Cancel.
5. Hosting and billing
Your data is hosted in the European Union and encrypted in transit (HTTPS).
Payments are processed by Apple's App Store and Google Play. Billing records (receipts, invoices) are kept by these providers in accordance with their own legal obligations and privacy policies; they are independent of the deletion of your Nodin account.
6. Your GDPR rights
In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to access, rectify, port, and object to the processing of your data. Any request can be sent to contact@nodin.app.
If you believe your rights are not being respected, you may lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority (CNIL).
