1. Data Controller
The controller of your data is the Nodin team, publisher of the Nodin mobile application ("the Application"). For any question regarding your personal data: contact@nodin.app.
2. Data We Collect
- Account data: email address, first name, country, language. - Service operation data: check-in data (timestamp, frequency), the emergency contacts you designate (first name and contact method). - Technical and notification data: push notification token (Firebase Cloud Messaging), device type, operating system, Application version. - Usage and analytics data: interaction events, screens viewed, usage frequency, technical installation identifiers, diagnostic and stability data (crash reports). This data is collected via Firebase Analytics (Google) and Expo / EAS Insights. - Subscription data: Premium subscription status and history, purchase identifiers, processed via RevenueCat. Nodin neither collects nor stores your payment details (card data); these are handled exclusively by the App Store (Apple) and Google Play.
3. Purposes and Legal Bases
- Provide and operate the sign-of-life service and send alerts to your contacts — performance of the contract. - Send service-related push notifications — performance of the contract. - Measure audience, analyse usage, and improve Application reliability (analytics, diagnostics) — your consent, which you may withdraw at any time. - Manage Premium subscriptions — performance of the contract. - Ensure security and prevent fraud — legitimate interest.
4. Data Sharing and Providers
Your data is never sold. It may be shared with: - Your designated contacts: only the information necessary for the alert. - Google / Firebase: push notifications (FCM) and audience measurement (Firebase Analytics). - Expo (EAS): Application delivery and usage measurement (EAS Insights). - RevenueCat: subscription management and analytics. - Our hosting provider, located in the European Union. These providers act as processors and are required to protect your data.
5. Hosting and International Transfers
Your account and service data are hosted within the European Union. Some analytics providers (Google, Expo, RevenueCat) may process data outside the European Union; such transfers are governed by appropriate safeguards (European Commission Standard Contractual Clauses).
6. Data Retention
Your data is kept as long as your account is active. After you delete your account, your data is erased within 30 days, unless a legal retention obligation applies.
7. Account and Data Deletion
You can delete your account and all your personal data at any time, directly from within the Application (the "Account" section). You may also request deletion at contact@nodin.app.
8. Your Rights
In accordance with the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to the processing of, and port your data, as well as the right to withdraw your consent at any time. To exercise these rights: contact@nodin.app. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.
9. Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures (encryption in transit, access control) to protect your data against unauthorized access, disclosure, or destruction.
10. Minors
The Application is intended for people aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect data concerning minors.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may amend this Privacy Policy. Any material change will be notified through the Application. The date of the latest update appears at the top of this document.
